This Mystery Is Great

Deep within your being, where your spirit abides, is where God dwells. Your spirit, once dead due to sin, has been made alive in Christ. It is there within your spirit where you can have deep fellowship with the Living God. Many, if not most, seek Him "out there" somewhere; like in a building that they unknowingly call a church. They seem to think they can find Him out there by doing things for Him. He may or may not be in the things we do for Him out there but He is always found within. If we learn to seek Him within, you will always find Him. This is not an easy task. We are beset with wandering minds, vain imaginations, temptations and a host of many other distractions. We pray a lot outwardly but fail to behold Him and listen to Him inwardly. It is deep within your spirit that you will hear Him speaking. You draw near to Him and He draws near to you. You behold Him in His glory and you love Him. He is not impressed with the things you do but He is moved when you love Him. Some of you have children. Don’t you just love it when your children just sit on your lap and hug you and express their love for you? Is it not the same with God our Father?

This place in your spirit is only entered into through the door of brokenness. Brokenness is usually a result of great trials. I’m speaking of life changing trials, the kind that expose all of our carnal nature and lead us to a place where we will surrender ALL to the Lord. These types of trials are truly a gift from the Lord and when we recognize this and embrace it and trust Him and rejoice in what your Lord has allowed, it will produce perseverance in you, which is needed to overcome all the distractions that will hinder us from the fellowship that He desires with you. He uses these trials to bring you to this place where you can behold Him and love Him and fellowship with Him and hear Him.

This communion with Him is a foretaste of what we will experience with Him when we all come together in Him as His bride. In the same manner as when a husband and wife come together as one. Think of the love you feel when you are one with your spouse. It transcends far beyond the physical act, as the love trying to be expressed is beyond our ability to express. This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church (His bride). Ephesians 5:32. Christ does not become one with a building or an organization!

You were in Him before creation, Ephesians 1:4. You are a part of His bride. Before He spoke into existence the physical realm, you were in Him. The spiritual realm was good but it wasn’t good for God to be alone! How was God alone when He created millions upon millions of angels? Well, God was uncreated and there was no uncreated counterpart for God. He couldn’t have an angel as a counterpart. They are 2 different species. They would not be equal. How was God going to have a bride without creating her? God is the only uncreated being so how could He have a bride that was uncreated, as He was? Well, God took a part of His uncreated self. Let’s say it was His rib! God is Spirit so He may not even have ribs! But for the sake of understanding, we will say it was a rib. He then marks off millions upon millions of pieces of His uncreated rib. God has a plan, an eternal plan.

God then creates the physical realm as a picture of the spiritual realm. Everything created is a physical representation of the spiritual realm up to His ultimate creation of a man made in His image. God breathes life into His physical image. All of creation was good but it was not good for man to be alone (sound familiar). How could man be alone when there were so many different animals created for him? Well, all the animals had mates but there was no counterpart for man. An animal could not be mans counterpart. They are 2 different species. They would not be equal. Remember, God has no counterpart so his image does not have a counterpart. So God takes a rib from man and forms a woman from mans being. She was his equal in every way. From this woman who was formed from mans rib will come millions upon millions of children, all of humanity. You could say that all of humanity was in woman or in the rib that formed woman. The image of God now has his mate but where is Gods mate?

God has taken all those pieces of His uncreated self and has deposited them in all believers, deep within their being. When time intersects with eternity and you accept the free gift of God in His Son at the cross, your dead spirit is then made alive with the Spirit of the Living God who has breathed Life into you and deposited a portion of His uncreated life in you. All of God is not in you but the portion of God that is in you is ALL God.

It is here that you fellowship with God outside of time and space. Now, there will come a time, (in truth, it is already here, we just don’t know it because we are limited in our understanding due to the constraints of time and space) when all of us believers will come together in Christ and all of the pieces of His uncreated self, which was in His rib, will be one and be formed into His bride just as was done with His physical image, Ephesians 2:22 and 5:30. There, as His bride, we will behold Him and all of Him will be in His bride and Christ will be the ALL in ALL; Colossians 3:11. This mystery is great but …alas, all is good.
